**Job Summary**
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our dynamic retail team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. **Responsibilities**
- Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring every shopper feels valued and satisfied.
- Oversee employee orientation, training & development initiatives to foster a knowledgeable and motivated team.
- Supervise daily shift activities, including cashiering, POS transactions, cash handling, and store cleanliness.
- Manage inventory levels through effective purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock organization to maximize sales opportunities.
- Support payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and budget management to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement marketing strategies within the store to promote products and special offers effectively.
- Enforce store policies related to pricing, sales promotions, safety procedures, and store standards.
- Utilize management skills to resolve customer issues promptly while maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Maintain organized records of sales reports, incident reports, inventory logs, and shift documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding health & safety regulations and store security measures.

**Skills**
- Proven management experience in retail environments with strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and engage customers effectively.
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing strategies, sales analysis, and inventory management.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, and vendor relations to optimize product offerings.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering operations.
- Strong organizational skills for overseeing stocking, merchandising, inventory control, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to conduct interviews and participate in employee recruitment processes confidently.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques across various departments such as grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial recordkeeping including payroll processing.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on training & development of staff members.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer service expertise combined with phone etiquette for engaging shoppers professionally. Pay: $29.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
