In 2020, Domus became a division of Alpine Building Maintenance which provides maintenance services all across Canada.

**Job Overview**:
Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. is looking for RCMP Clearance Heavy Duty Cleaners for an immediate position located within the Barrhaven area. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 500 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Must be knowledgeable in floor scrubbing and burnishing of floors
- Clean assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floor surfaces in assigned areas by use of mechanized cleaning equipment wherever required
- Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis
- Operate carpet machines of various types
- Spot clean walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches, doors, and window sills
- Wipe and sanitize all public utilities such as public phones, furniture, and door handles
- Food Court experience a plus
- Cleaning of washrooms, sanitizing, mopping, restocking of supplies as needed
- Follow pre-set policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as required

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Previous cleaning/janitorial experience an asset
- Must be able to lift 40lbs plus on a regular basis
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Reliable
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
- Must live in the Ottawa/Gatineau region
