Reporting to the Manager, Fixtures & Supplies and Store Projects, the Store projects self-checkout supervisor is a key player in the implementation of Giant Tiger’s self-checkout installation project. This position is responsible for supporting and supervising the installation of Self Checkouts through and across the chain while providing on-site support to ensure a seamless execution at store level. Travel and overnight stays at job sites may be required.

Store Project Self-Checkout Supervisor Key Responsibilities

Study store layouts, specifications of drawings required for Self-Checkout execution.

Confirm all required materials are on site in advance of beginning each installation.

Disassemble, relocate, and dispose of any current Cash fixtures using generic tools as per the layout and direction.

Prepare, assemble and set store new Self Checkouts and fixtures as per layout, company strategy and direction.

Re-merchandise checkouts to optimize customer experience upon redesign of layout.

Monitor any issues or problems throughout the installation process. Communicate any onsite adjustments to the Store Manager and Manager of Fixtures and Supplies and Store Projects, advising them of any issues or concerns. Recommend any required adjustments to ensure completion of project.

Communicate any onsite adjustments to relevant trades or support groups (IS, Real Estate, Fixtures and Supplies, Store Operations) to ensure a successful and timely execution.

Maintain a clean and safe work area during installation. Review Self-Checkout post installation to ensure quality and standards are met.

Ensure site facilities complies with safety regulations.

**Store Project Self-Checkout Supervisor Key Qualifications**:
2+ years experience performing site surveys and/or mechanical installation preferred

Educational qualification (High School Diploma)

Experience working in remote locations; able to travel.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to perform minor repairs to any product line

Strong safety
- first attitude and knowledge of required safety procedures on a site.

Bilingual (French and English) is considered an asset

Project management experience is an asset

Valid class 5 driver’s license
