Position Summary:
Acuren Group Inc. (Acuren) is currently hiring six (6) certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians with a Secondary Trade for permanent assignments across the Western Region. Travel may be required in these positions. The start date is immediate.

These roles are full time (averaging 160 hours per month), with an hourly wage rate starting at $48 CDN plus a $5/hour premium for holding a recognized journeyman certification, straight time. Overtime of 1.5X is payable as per relevant provincial employment standards. Additional premiums are payable for evening or night shift, and where additional relevant technical qualifications are present. Vacation/Holiday is paid at a rate of 6%. The IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician is responsible for safety management, work site organization and planning, and the supervision of others performing a variety of work while suspended from ropes.

**Responsibilities**:
An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician with a secondary trade utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology and their specific trade to manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize and perform specific functions as they relate to jobs and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights. The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.

**Requirements**:

- IRATA Level 3 Certification required;
- Certified in at least one of the following journeyman trades: pipefitting, electrical, welding, insulation, blasting or coating (preference for NACE 2 Coating Inspector certification) *Any international certification must be recognized in Alberta or eligible for the AIT Trades Qualifier Program (applicable trade specific minimum hours of experience may apply);
Current first aid certification;
- A valid drivers' license is required;
- Minimum High School Diploma is required;
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and adverse conditions;
- Physical and psychological fitness, with the ability to successfully submit to drug and alcohol testing on a random schedule
- Ability to comply with Acuren and/or client-required pandemic policies prior to employment and continued compliance with adaptive Acuren and/ or client pandemic policies.

**Language of work**

Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are a prerequisite

**Benefits**:
Extended health and dental benefits will be provided after 90 days. Temporary health insurance will be provided if required until the 90 days period is met or a provincial health card is obtained. RRSP contributions are matched up to company plan limits following 6 months of continuous employment. Relocation support may be provided with the submission of receipts for eligible applicants.
