**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in finding beautiful floral gifts that meet their needs for phone, walk-in, and online sales.
- Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Ensure the flower shop is clean, organized and in tip-top shape.
- Comfortable to work independently and work alone in the shop on Sundays or quiet times and ensure the shop runs smoothly.
- Process floral shipments, clean and organize floral coolers, and restock work areas.
- Frequent lifting of buckets and boxes that weigh up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods of time and working with your hands.
- Contact customers to schedule floral deliveries and package and organize floral deliveries
- Plant care
- Assist with outbound reminder sales calls at peak floral holidays
- Willing to make the occasional floral delivery or run errands when needed.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Ability to effectively sell products and services
- Positive attitude, exceptional interpersonal communication skills (oral/written), and ability to quickly build rapport.
- Experience in the floral industry would be an asset.
- Knowledge and passion for house plants/flowers would be considered an asset.
- Ability to make decisions and work with mínimal supervision.
- Fast learner and quick on your feet
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Fluency in English, bilingual in French an asset
- Post secondary degree preferred but not required.
