**The Opportunity**:
The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting to fill a permanent part-time position for a Facility Operations Worker 1. They will be responsible to provide a clean, safe, secure and efficiently-operating environment for users of recreation facilities, focused on high customer service delivery. This is a building maintenance role and successful applicants will be required to work in our arenas, pool mechanical as well as general building repairs as needed. Mechanical aptitude and experience is an asset.
- Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months related experience in a similar public facility with related building maintenance components, preferably in a recreation environment.
- Certification in Intermediate First-aid.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license required.
- Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (completed by The City upon employment).

Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417

**Remuneration**:
$32.61 to $34.32 per hour

**Hours of Work**:
64 hours biweekly, as scheduled. Shifts are scheduled for evenings, weekends and some day shifts to meet the operational needs of the facility.
