The Silver Group is a well-established property management company specializing in the ownership and management of residential property rentals across Ontario and the United States, as well as the 3rd-party management of commercial properties.
The Superintendent lives and works in the community and is responsible for contributing to the best customer service and experience by performing general maintenance and repairs for all in-suite and common areas as assigned by the Property Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Daily checks of the building and addressing any deficiencies in the interior or the exterior of the properties
- Complete scheduled maintenance inspections, fire alarm and fire drill testing, reporting deficiencies to the Property Manger.
- Perform resident in-suite service, interior and exterior common area work as scheduled
- Maintain cleanliness of buildings
- Maintain Building Inspection Logs, Work Order Logs and winter salt logs
- Perform all duties of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the jurisdiction, including: Health and Safety Standards, WHIMIS, AODA, PIPEDA and Human Rights.
- 24 hr on call emergency response coverage is required on a rotating basis
- Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job and as requested by management.
**Technical Competencies**
Education
High School diploma is required. A trade certificate or license would be considered an asset.
**Experience**
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience or an apprenticeship or combination thereof.
**Skill Set**
- Ability to complete appliance repairs, routine plumbing repairs, repairs - an asset
- Attention to detail
- Ability to safely use and maintain tools of the job
- Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and fire safety systems - an asset
- Good Communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Shows initiative and demonstrates accountability
**_Salary includes an onsite apartment and is based on experience_**
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
