Reporting to the Manager, Merchandising Learning & Development, the Merchandising Trainer will lead the delivery of role-specific “new-in-role” and “just-in-time” learning and coaching programs for key CTR Merchandising roles in the areas of Category Business Management, Pricing, Planning and Forecasting. As a Merchandising Trainer, you will participate in the design, development, and delivery of agile and interactive education and hands-on training, and you will sustain the ongoing theoretical, analytical, and functional learning needs of our Merchandising partners.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead group or 1:1 in-person, virtual or hybrid learning events for role-specific “new-in-role” and “just-in-time” training to Merchandising team members - topics cover core concepts, processes, tools, procedures, and policies
- Provide technical training and support on all Merchandising tools
- Deliver the necessary learning to the Merchandising Teams to support both small-scale change as well as changes driven through larger project-led initiatives. Key projects can include accountability changes, new business processes and technology rollouts
- Obtain and maintain SME-level knowledge required to provide on-going 1:1 coaching and guidance to individuals at the Specialist, Analyst, and Manager levels
- Create and continuously enhance individual learning objects, lessons, and full learning curriculums across a multitude of formats (written, visual, interactive digital, video, social)
- Monitor group mailbox daily and provide ah hoc coaching support to learner base

**What you bring**

We are looking for high-performing individuals who understand and can deliver on the needs of the ‘Remote Learner’. The Merchandising Trainer needs to be a creative thinker who will take initiative and is capable of building, launching, and maintaining engaging learning objects and programs that drive results. Other qualifications include:

- Post-secondary education in Learning & Development, Business, or related discipline
- CTR experience preferably in a Merchandising
- or Supply Chain-related role (CBA, MPS, FA, RA etc.) or 2-3 years experience in a Trainer capacity
- Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills with experience using a wide variety of tools - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Video software, Xyleme, Microsoft Teams, other as applicable
- Facilitation and presentation skills to confidently lead group or on-on-one coaching sessions
- Demonstrated attention to detail, a readiness to work with others, and empathy for individuals learning complex activities
- Proven experience of getting up to speed with extensive information very quickly
- Motivated self-starter who can manage a significant amount of ambiguity
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships
- Flexibility & adaptability to navigate through simultaneous training streams by taking over other trainers’ sessions, when necessary, if unexpected technical interruptions occur
