The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the retail store. Here are some of the key responsibilities:
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Be a friendly and knowledgeable resource for every customer, answer customer questions, and make product recommendations
- Connect with every customer by asking open-ended questions to assess needs
- Share the responsibility of running the store with the manager
- Operate the cash register and use the computer for business tasks and product research
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and attractive by following merchandising standards

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Familiar with Point of Sale (POS) retails systems
- Supporting Daily Operations: Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the store runs efficiently.
- Staff Management: Supervise and train employees, create work schedules, and ensure staff are motivated and productive.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Sales and Marketing: Help achieve sales targets, set up advertising displays, and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
- Administrative Duties: Keep records of sales, damages, deposits, and employee paperwork.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and secure the store at closingConfident and comfortable engaging with customers to deliver a positive experience
- Experienced Runner with a love of the sport and of the running community
- Part Time Store Assistant manager 20-40hrs/week.
- Motivated to achieve great results because of one's enthusiasm for the running, walking, and fitness environment
- Love of learning and ability to grasp new concepts and product knowledge quickly
- Self-motivated to complete tasks or activities with little supervision
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written English
- Available weekdays and weekends

We offer and advice and encouragement to every single person who walks through the door, whether they've just started exercising or they're seasoned ultra-marathoners. We're about helping people find the right fit or perfect product, not about aggressive selling.
