At Coco Bakery our purpose is simple: to craft delightful treats, which transform the ordinary into extraordinarily sweet moments. **The Role**: To support our major retail customers in Canada and in the US, we have been on an expansion journey at our facility. This includes growing our team. Currently, we’re looking for a highly motivated and self-driven team player, who has a roll-up-the-sleeve mentality, to join our Operations Team as a Lead Hand (Nights). This is a permanent full-time position and will report directly to the Production Supervisor. **Summary of Role**: The Lead Hand (Nights) should be highly competent and able to comprehend complex operations. They will provide hands-on leadership to the production team by leading and supervising daily tasks and activities. They are responsible supervising the line employees’ work quality, productivity, and attendance, all while ensuring maximum quality output in a safe and profitable manner. **Key Responsibilities and Duties**: The Lead Hand (Nights) duties will include, but are not limited to: - Lead by example and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing Company policies and guidelines, including strict adherence to food safety and health and safety systems - Ensure GMPs are being followed at all times - Oversee equipment set up, ensuring machine settings are appropriate based on product specification - Provide orientation and training for all new team members, assess individual performance - Manage daily workflow and break schedules - Report to the Production Supervisor any issues, hazards, unsafe conditions, absence or defects in equipment, and any contravention of health and safety policies - Ensure product is finished and packed according to customer specification - Maintain accurate inventory control of raw materials, packaging, sanitation chemicals, and finished goods; ensure production areas are equipped with supplies to avoid stoppage/downtime - Monitor product temperature prior to packaging (must be
