**The Opportunity**:
As an **M&A Financial Analyst**, the incumbent will play a crucial role in the financial management and decision-making processes as it relates to SIB’s ongoing M&A activity. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities will include creating and maintaining financial models, assisting with financial due diligence, constructing pro-forma budgets, and generating management reporting packages. The incumbent will work closely with various teams to analyze financial data, provide insights, and contribute to strategic planning.
**A Day in the Life**:
- Performing analysis for corporate development functions including financial modeling, forecasting and synergy analysis.
- Assisting with financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Preparing presentations for senior management, board meetings, and potential partners.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive financial models to assess and analyze acquisition opportunities.
- Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of financial models and/or reports to support decision-making processes.
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics and incorporate them into financial reporting packages and presentations.
- Conducting thorough financial analysis, including trend analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
- Collaborating with various departments, including finance, HR, and IT, to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in financial reporting.

**Education & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Completion of or working towards a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and ERP systems.
- Prior experience in M&A and/or corporate development is an asset.
