The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent is recruiting **a Facility Supervisor. ** This is a fulltime (35 hours) permanent position.

As a member of the Centre Capital Project team, during the construction of our new Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK), the Facility Supervisor will liaise and maintain working relationships with CTC-CK administration, the CTC-CK Building Committee, Collier’s Project Manager, the architect and General Contractor project staff. The Facility Supervisor will act as the Centre Lead contact on behalf of the Centre for day-to-day capital communication to address items or escalate decisions. The Facility Supervisor will participate in shop drawing and design reviews, will attend all construction project meetings, assist in monitoring project schedule, participate in change order decision making and ensure Centre readiness for owner procurement as appropriate to the project and maintain an action and response log for tracking and verification of actions.

The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and safety of the current building and grounds, including all mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling, pool, water system and emergency/security systems of both the existing and new Centre.

- Completion of Building Operator Courses or relevant experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree with experience in a related discipline (engineering, architecture or construction)
- Practical experience in the construction industry
- 5 + years’ experience in facility management and a broad understanding of various trades and construction methods
- Familiar with building legislation, codes and standards
- Physical ability to meet the requirements of the position
- Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure systems
- Demonstrated working knowledge of general maintenance practices
- Certification as a Joint Health & Safety Co-Chair (JHSC) considered an asset
