**Lions Personal Care Centre** **is actively recruiting for evening part-time (0.7 EFT and 0.8 EFT) Housekeeping Aides to join our exceptional Support Services team.**

Lions Personal Care Centre is a 116-bed licensed and accredited non‐profit personal care home located at the corner of Portage and Sherbrook. At Lions, the health and safety of our staff is a top priority. We have always maintained strong infection control practices, but in response to COVID-19, we have been continually improving our processes, and exceeding established provincial guidelines.

Some of the health and safety measures we have implemented include increased cleaning and disinfecting of the facility, with special focus on high touch surfaces, active screening for anyone who enters our residences, including staff, and a streamlined algorithm to assess if a staff member is fit to come into work.

**_RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- Assist where help is needed for the purpose of creating a clean and healthy environment.
- Ensure that all designated areas are cleaned on a daily basis as per housekeeping schedules.
- Assist with room turn overs when a room vacancy arises.
- Learn the function of all cleaning machines within Lions Housing Centre.
- Ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies are properly stocked and supplied in the appropriate locations. Ensure that the cleaning cart is organized, restocked and replenished as required.
- Follow standards outlined in the Infection Control, Fire and Safety, and WHMIS programs.

**_JOB REQUIREMENTS_**
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Janitorial/cleaning experience.
- Previous experience working with dispensed cleaning chemicals and various cleaning equipment an asset.
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Capable of adjusting schedule to daily changing demands.
- Experience in a Long Term Care facility an asset.
- Physically and mentally able to perform all duties of position. Requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending with repetitious movements.

**_WORK HOURS_**

1500-2315 (Weekdays/Weekends)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $15.51 per hour
