We are looking for an amazing person with a shining personality and easy-going attitude to join our small but mighty team in Après Snack Bar at Penny’s Motel Offering a laid back and unique vibe, Penny’s and Après welcome travelers from around the world as well as local residents of the Blue Mountain Area. In addition to our regular menu, Après features an Oyster Bar as well as extensive cocktail/beer and wine offerings 7 nights a week. Meet people from across the globe and share your love of good food, good bevvies and local activities/secret places

A fluid position combining serving, bartending, shucking oysters, plating simple dishes and more, Après offers a place to learn and grow while connecting with and entertaining our incredible guests.

Duties can include (not limited to):

- Outstanding customer service skills
- Serving guests at the bar or on the patio
- Checking on guests often; suggesting additional items or pairings
- Operating point of sale terminals and taking payment
- Cleaning the bar and the area around it; daily opening/closing duties
- Mixology or the ability to make traditional cocktails
- Can/draft beer & wine service, pairings and suggestions
- Oyster shucking
- Plating simple menu items
- Basic math skills and the ability to keep track of customer tabs
- Emptying trash, mopping floors, and taking care of other routine tasks for opening, mid or end of shift
- Being the face of Penny's Motel to incoming guests - welcoming, basic information about the rooms, property and surrounding area (exemplary service and a welcoming attitude helps us maintain our high-level of hospitality)
- Smart Serve Certification required

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift

**Experience**:

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
- serving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (required)
