Your Opportunity:
Make a significant impact on patient-focused health care as a Patient Food Services (PFS) Supervisor with Alberta Health Services. PFS is a provincial program that is committed to provide nutritious, healthy, high quality meal service to patients, staff, visitors and the community. You will have the unique opportunity to lead 2 PFS teams at the following sites: Wainwright Health Centre and Hardisty Health Centre. NFS Supervisors provide direction to front line workers and ensure patients and residents receive the meals required to promote good health. As a key member of the NFS team, you are responsible for leading and mentoring staff, managing budgets, promoting safe work environments, implementing Alberta Health Services and Nutrition & Food Service (NFS) initiatives, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality meals. PFS Supervisors routinely interact with dietitians, other health care staff, patients, residents and their families. Key competencies required for this role include: Ability to foster, build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, customer focused orientation and commitment to provide a quality service. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in staff. Demonstrated ability to implement change and handle competing priorities with mínimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal and written communications skills. The Supervisor position is an introduction to the operations management stream and could lead to other opportunities within Food Services Management.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a related field. Experience working with Microsoft Applications. Experience managing human, financial and physical resources.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
A combination of experience and qualifications will be considered.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Food Services supervisory role. Experience in a hospital or a long term care setting. Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship. Completion of safe food handling certificate. Experience supervising a unionized workforce. Experience leading projects and organizational initiatives. Experience with Change Management methodologies. Experience with: Connect care, Markview, E-People, iProcurement, and Sysco Shop.
