The **Site Superintendent **is accountable for coordination, administration, and site supervision of the construction process. Reporting directly to the General Site Superintendent, the Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the entire construction site, site team and trades/suppliers, and overseeing the flow of the project from breaking ground to completion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize, direct, and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, and potential construction problems
- Oversee day-to-day activities inspecting work performed by employees, contractors and sub-contractors
- Build and maintains strong relationships with trades
- Schedule and supervise the activities of all subcontractors and trades
- Partner with the Project Manager to discuss errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the design drawings
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
- Maintain strict build-out construction schedule and make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required
- Expected to perform physical labour from time to time, as necessary, to complete work efficiently
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Control and monitor labour, material and equipment expenses
- Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements
- Lead job site meetings
- Conduct employee orientations and safety meetings
- Process time sheets, purchase orders, directives and other documentation as necessary
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean job site compliant with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation for Construction Projects

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a construction related area of study
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct work experience working in high-rise residential construction
- Previous experience overseeing construction sites
- Current and up to date Health & Safety certifications
- A solid understanding of construction trades and construction techniques
- Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity
- Knowledge of compliance regulations and legislation in relation to the construction industry, specifically high-rise residential construction
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and related building codes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to influence team members and other stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
