Dartmouth, Canada Progressive Cabinets & Millwork Ltd. Full time

Progressive Cabinets and Millwork, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for two new cabinet assemblers to join our assembly and dress-out department.

**Job Duties**
- Assemble all drawers, base cabinets, vanity cabinets, upper cabinets, and finished cabinets.
- Maintain accurate labeling on all product components
- Install all special items, doors, and fronts as required
- Palletise completed cabinets to be checked by shipping & receiving
- Complete preliminary quality control checks and inform the Lead Hand or Plant Foreman of any deficiencies
- Assist n repair or recut of parts as required to maintain flow on the production line.
- Receive doors/fronts from either Edge Banding or Finishing Department
- Inspect quality prior to drilling and hanging door or drawer fronts
- Record any parts that are returned or need to be redone
- Inspect tools and equipment daily prior to use and report any issues immediately.
- Under the direction of Lead Hand, run calibration daily to ensure that desired clearances are consistent.
- Clean work area and machines as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous carpentry experience considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and a motivated attitude
- Experience working with basic hand tools (drill, tape measure, nail gun)

**This is a Day Shift position (6 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday). You must have reliable means of transportation to commute to our plant in Burnside, Nova Scotia for your scheduled shifts.**
