Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo's laboratory division is seeking to hire a Field Service Technician, in the Great Toronto Area in Ontario who will report to the Regional Service Manager. You will be covering Ontario and Quebec service regions. As a Field Service Technician you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing industry related products at customer locations.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Troubleshoots and repairs all Mettler Toledo products within the Business Group
- Performs system and equipment installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as required
- Reviews and signs off on all completed assignments and applicable documentation
- Collaborates with Mettler Toledo sales employees to determine customer requirements, which may include performing joint sales calls
- Leads the efforts in promoting and selling service products
- Submits Leads and assists in effort to modernize, upgrade and convert customer existing equipment
- Ensures vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met
- Maintains a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians and other leaders

What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum 2 year college diploma in Engineering/Electronics/Instrumentation/Biotechnology
- Experience in a technical support role/technical troubleshooting in electronics or electromechanical technology industry is preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime to meet customer demands
- Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
