Baseline Water Resource Inc. (Baseline Water) is a Calgary-based professional services company specializing in water resource management and environmental consulting. Baseline Water is seeking an Environmental Scientist to assist with a variety of projects throughout western Canada. This is a full-time permanent position with the opportunity for extensive growth within the company. This position provides a blend of field and office duties. - Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences, geology, earth sciences or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Comfortable communicating with landowners and/or operators within the oil & gas sector
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment and independently
- Attention to detail and production of high-quality work
- Willing to work flexible hours and undertake fieldwork throughout the year
- Willing to travel out of town for some projects on an intermittent basis

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Groundwater monitoring and sampling
- Soil and groundwater site assessments and remediation
- Water supply well drilling supervision and aquifer testing
- Installation and maintenance of automated data collection systems (Telemetry)
- Aquifer test analysis, hydraulic conductivity calculations, borehole logs and cross-sections
- Laboratory analytical data review, tabulation and interpretation
- Technical report preparation

**Additional Assets (but not required)**:

- Previous work experience in a consulting environment
- Previous safety training and knowledge of OH&S and standard safety practices
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements from AEPA and AER
- Working knowledge of GIS software
- Working knowledge of Aqtesolv software

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$99,333.57 per year
