**QUALITY ASSURANCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (INSPECTION)**

**JOB SUMMARY**

You will be responsible for performing QA/QC function as related to documentation review, dimensional inspections, CMM inspection, verification of assembly/ testing and co-ordination with Authorized inspectors. Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of manufacturing processes, materials, and products by performing established guidelines. These are required to be performed in accordance with our documented Quality Management System and procedures. Good knowledge in manufacturing / fabrication, welding, assembly, installation and NDE.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Performing visual, and mechanical inspection of purchased or manufactured parts using measuring and testing equipment, as per the procedures
- Performing Receiving and Final inspection as per the drawings / specifications and identify and document nonconforming items.
- Receives, reviews and approves supplier submitted documents including surveillance reports, inspection, CMTRs and other related documentation.
- Oversees the calibration system and controls new equipment, decommissioned and/or surplus equipment
- Perform inspection at vendor site before releasing the material.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Handling other assigned work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by your immediate supervisor.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Strong knowledge and experience with Inspection, Measuring and Test equipment including their use
- Strong knowledge and capability to read drawings and related specifications and familiarity with GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and familiarity to SAP and AS400 ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, N299.3, MSS-SP-55, NDE and welding activities and related documentation
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- A high school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education degree/diploma for QA Inspection.
- Five years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The majority of the work performed is in a non-climate controlled steel and concrete block building with cement floors. Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust and moving mechanical parts or equipment.
