Swine Technician

**About us**

Hog Farm Van Deelen is a pig farm near Harley, ON.

We are looking for a reliable individual who is willing to learn and work as part of a team as well as on their own.

**Duties**:

- Assist with various tasks related to farm operations, including but not limited to:

- Feeding and caring for sows in the farrowing rooms
- Supervising sows during the birth process
- Record keeping
- Vaccinating sows and piglets
- Pressure washing and maintaining a clean facility
- Breeding
- Processing piglets
- Mixing feed on location
- Vaccinating, tagging and shipping breeding stock

Drivers license and being able to transport yourself to work punctually is required.

Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred but we're willing to train if you don't have that experience. Wage depends on experience with a rage from $18-$22 per hour.

Please note weekends and holidays do need to be worked due to the nature of caring for animals, but regular weekends off will be scheduled.
