**About the Role**:Transnomis is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team. This role has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

- Research and implement a content management system.
- Document management, editing, and proofreading.
- Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.
- Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions.
- Organize and write supporting documents for products.
- Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos.
- Writing, maintaining, revising policies and procedures as new issues arise.
- Writing technical communications, including manuals, bulletins, and reference materials (including forms and letters), for the assigned division.
- Writing updates for new or revised materials, and revises procedures if required.
- Planning and prioritizing work to ensure timelines are met and established review and approval processes are followed.
- Forwarding written drafts to content reviewers for review and revises draft as required.
- Preparing final version for publication.
- Obtaining feedback on usability from internal and /or external stakeholders.
- Continuing to refine usability based on feedback obtained.

- Has great problem-solving skills with an ability to create communicate complex ideas very simply.
- Demonstrates ownership of all assignments, asking for clarification/direction as necessary.
- Plans, develops and writes clear, concise and easily-understood communication tools.
- Experience with document management tools.
- Excellent written presentation skills.
- Experience writing and editing corporate policy and procedural content using simple and clear language;
- Experience analyzing changes in policy or procedures to determine impact and scope of change to existing documentation.
- Experience following documentation standards program.
- Must be able to work independently as well as direct the work effort of others.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy, able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
- Minimum of 1+ year related experience.
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

**Nice To Have**:

- Proficiency in French / third language is an asset

**Education**:
University Degree, Diploma and/or Certification or equivalent
