Throughout the 8 weeks of Summer, students will be facilitating Summer Camps in four distinct communities around Eastern PEI. They will be responsible for organizing various games each day that focus on sports, recreation, and physical literacy. Additionally, there will be numerous events and programs, including various "Come Try" events, catering not only to youth but also to adults and seniors. **Duties and Responsibilities**: The primary responsibility is to create a fun and safe environment for participants. Accurately maintain records of attendance. Lead activities and supervise children. Foster positive interactions and teamwork. Communicate effectively with parents and staff. Document incidents and other pertinent information. Ensure the cleanliness of the recreational area. Maintain an inventory of equipment. **Required Qualifications**: - Students must return to school in Fall 2025. - Experience in sports and recreation is considered an asset. - Experience working with children is considered an asset. - Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential. - Strong verbal communication skills are required. - Strong interpersonal skills are necessary. - Knowledge of and belief in the importance of physical activity and healthy living are required. - Highly motivated individuals with the ability to work independently are preferred. - Applicants must possess a valid Driver’s License and vehicle and be willing to travel. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, is required. **Working Conditions**: Primarily outdoors, with activities dependent on weather conditions; however, the majority of time is spent outdoors. **Job Type**: Seasonal Contract length: 8 weeks Pay: $16.64 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week **Benefits**: - Commuter benefits - Flexible schedule Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-07-02 Expected start date: 2025-07-07
