We are seeking a positive and engaged short term contract helicopter pilot to support seasonal operations of a privately owned ASTAR helicopter based out of Campbell River from July 24 to October 1st.

The pilot will be responsible for operating the helicopter in accordance with regulations, ensuring passenger safety and comfort, performing pre and post flight administrative tasks, attending safety meetings, reporting any maintenance concerns for rectification, and maintaining the aircraft cleanliness.

Pilots can expect approximately 30 - 40 days of flying with approximately 75 - 100 flight hours.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Flight operation of an ASTAR helicopter in accordance with regional policies and pertinent regulations. Ensure passenger comfort and safety.
- Pre / post flight administration including but not limited to approved and trained elementary maintenance, fueling, timely safety/issue reporting, and paper & digital flight log updates.
- Attending all general and monthly safety meetings.
- Monitoring Heli-tug and coordinating maintenance if needed.
- Maintaining all qualifications and personal requirements to operate the aircraft.
- Maintaining aircraft exterior and interior cleanliness and appropriate consumable stock levels.
- Other duties as assigned by the Flight Department Manager.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 2,000 hours total helicopter time and 1000 PIC
- Canadian flight experience in coastal and mountain environments
- Must have current and valid Canadian passport
- Able to meet medical standards
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability supporting and enhancing safety initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent ability adapting to change
- Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $375.00 per day
