The Production Supervisor is accountable for the safe and effective fabrication of rebar. Duties include but are not limited to providing leadership and guidance to Shop staff in the areas of safety, quality control, and production. Administrative requirements include materials tracking, input into the development of standard work methods, and regular reporting of daily/weekly meetings.
**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership, direction, feedback ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to new, and current employees;
- Responsible for ensuring each project is completed as scheduled, with the highest level of quality and completed in accordance with A&H standards.
- Responsible for material management for shop materials.
- Responsible for implementing, as directed by the Production Supervisor, industry practices and procedures for manufacturing that improve A&H’s shop
- Assist in the development of shop workflow processes.
- Assist in the development of the Safe work procedures for Shop equipment.
- Ensure all employees and visitors adhere to safe work procedures for the equipment being operated.
- Assist with documentation of all safety incidents and disciplinary actions
- Ensure good housekeeping to perform work safely and efficiently.
- Responsible for providing improvement feedback on manufacturing efficiencies through innovative approaches to management.
- Minimize absenteeism and follow company protocol for required days off, and approval of timecards
- Work with Maintenance to provide instruction regarding the repair and maintenance of equipment and scheduling personnel in the daily completion of preventative maintenance and major repair work.
- Continuously improve and implement appropriate performance metrics while being held responsible for documenting and creating associated processes, tools, and procedures.
**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:
- Comprehensive knowledge of fabrication/production facility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S regulations.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, communication, and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Position will require exposure to heat, cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration and industrial manufacturing noise.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to stand 8 hours.
- Must be available to work full-time (Monday - Friday), and overtime when required
- Musts be willing to work overtime as needed, including some weekend
