**Parker Canada** is hiring a permanent full time **CNC Machine Operator (Machining Center/Lathe)** in our Milton location.

**As a CNC Machine Operator, your primary job functions and duties are**:

- Set up and Operate CNC Machining Center & Lathe, Drills, Saws, and Flats Machine.
- Ability to read and use Verniers, Thread and Plug Gauges, as well as other secondary tools and equipment.
- Machine and inspect parts, within tolerance, as required by work orders
- Inspect quality and quantity of product or information as required
- Ability to read blueprints and/or drawings.
- Follow ISO procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure worker safety.
- Communicate any known production problems to the Group Leader as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Education/Certification**:

- High school diploma/GED
- General machinist or equivalent work experience

**Experience/Skills**:

- At least 1 year experience operating CNC machines or currently enrolled in a CNC Programming course
- Able to read manufacturing paperwork/instructions
- Ability to access drawings, programs and documentations using a computer
- Able to read manufacturing drawings/blueprints.
- Shop math
- Able to set up and operate CNC/manual equipment and tooling
- Able to perform basic programming or tool offset adjustments
- Inspection of parts (inspection techniques, interpretation of tolerances, gauges)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

**Tools and Equipment**:

- CNC lathes, machining centers, drilling center, saws, flats machine
- Micrometers, vernier calipers, tape measures, thread and plug gauges.
- Crane, jib crane, bench vise, various hand tools.
- Stoelting washer as well as other related secondary tools and equipment within the work center

**Accountability/Responsibilities**:

- Complying with all Company rules, regulations, and procedures, including safety
- Safe set up and operation of assigned equipment
- Machining and inspecting parts to requirements specified on manufacturing and inspection drawing.
- Disposition non-conforming material
- Signing off completed jobs once they pass required inspections
- Communicating production/planning/engineering issues to related departments
- Meeting throughput requirements.
- Recording daily measurements

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
