Grinder - Material Handler

**Responsibilities**:
As directed by the Shipping Supervisor
- Organize and maintain the regrind work area, including storage areas for staged and surplus product
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Monitor the use of regrind and the inventory levels of all types of regrind
- Provide inventory information to materials planner, as required
- Prepare shipments of reground material and/or waste product being sent to outside vendors
- Remove and properly dispose of or store waste, pallets and used packaging materials
- Manual material handling
- Train to support Extruder operator, when required
- Complete all required shift documentation and reports
- Ensure machinery is working efficiently and all safety devices are in place
- Maintain efficiency standards and OEE run rates
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives

**Skills and Requirements**:
**-**Have or be willing to learn, knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
- Must be a Mauser certified forklift operator, or be willing and able to receive certification
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Shift flexibility - 12 hour continental shifts
- Sound troubleshooting skills with a mechanical background
- Computer literacy
