Advanced Analytics Specialist

**What it’s like to be a Northbridge Business Data Analytics Specialist**

The Business Data Analytics Team is a central partner to the business where they will help unlock the value from our data and support the transformation in becoming an analytics data driven organization. They are responsible to help develop and lead answering key questions on why what we are seeing in the business is happening and provide strategic insights, measurements and recommendations derived from our data.

Reporting to the Director, Business Data Analytics, the primary role of the Business Data Analytics Specialist, is to provide insights using analytics descriptive and diagnostic techniques to the business unit(s) of focus. Key activities for this role include providing in depth expertise, analytical interpretation, key insights, and action items to your multi-functional business partners across the organization. Those insights will be provided to either help with informed and enabled business decisions or help to solve the increasingly complex business problems they face. The incumbent will liaise cross functionally across the business unit they support and the rest of the business data analytics team.

**If you are great at**:

- Work as part of the analytics team to translate business needs (questions, opportunities, problems) into diagnostic analytics product / solutions / insights
- Support steps in analytics that includes data gathering, requirements specification, analytics, and presentations
- Develop and maintain documentation of environment, data and processes

**If you have**:

- B. Sc Computer Science, Mathematics, Stats, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years in statistical analytics techniques (i.e., correlation, regression, cohort, experimental design & measurement)
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of statistical analytical techniques
- Intermediate knowledge of data mining languages SQL and Python
- Comfortable writing standard SQL queries to extract and integrate data from a variety of different data sources
