Taking Care is the on-site Child and Parent Development Centre of Taking Charge Our centre is known for providing high quality care for children and exceeding regulatory expectations. We have a dynamic team environment that fosters personal growth and teamwork. Taking Care is currently recruiting a full-time Early Childhood Educator II for our preschool room.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement a child development curriculum that creates a balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, free/structured, individual/group activities and encourages physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and sensory development.
- Plan and provide activities that facilitate an understanding of other cultures and value systems.
- Provide positive guidance techniques such as positive reinforcement, redirection and language.
- Provide a safe, clean and healthy environment by following emergency evacuation procedures, public health policies and light housekeeping duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Early Childhood Educator II certification
- Experience with preschool children in a childcare setting
- Certified in Emergency First Aid / Infant Child CPR
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Imagination, inventiveness and individuality are welcome in this supportive team environment.
- Flexible and able to work in a high paced environment.

Salary will commensurate with education and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and pension plan.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week.

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
