**We are seeking a **Manager, Capability Development**. You are a team player who steps into the arena and is comfortable working in ambiguity and uncertainty. You can transform a vision into a full-blown volunteer pipeline that combines people, training, and equipment. An experienced project manager with an understanding of the Humanitarian and Disaster/Emergency Management space, you are flexible and reliable and looking to build capabilities that meet the needs of the communities we serve in alignment with our mission. Reporting to the Director of Field Operations and Analytics, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by enhancing organizational capabilities and skillsets of volunteers. As the Manager, Capability Development, you will be responsible for helping TR Canada maintain and evolve its humanitarian capabilities.

**Duties**:

- Identify and build new operational capabilities for TR Canada.
- Develop and implement frameworks for scalable and sustainable operational capabilities.
- Design, oversee, and refine specialty training programs aligned with Team Rubicon Canada's operational needs.
- Plan activities, monitoring execution, reporting on results.
- Prepare and manage budgets for capability development programs and training initiatives.
- Responsible for the management of projects with restricted and unrestricted funding, including associated project reporting.
- Lead After Action Reviews (AARs) for both operations and training to include the resulting action plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure internal alignment and external communications.
- Work with national and local partners to identify shared opportunities for capability building.
- Facilitate continuous improvement activities across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Experience and Background**
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma (in business, emergency management, forestry/natural resources, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of managing projects and associated resources is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively verbally and through advanced level written work.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, develop a business plan, align stakeholders, secure required resources, and execute.
- Experience working in the non-profit sector or with disaster relief organizations is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional experience with Asana Project Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Job Type**:

- Full-time, salary
- Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000

**Special Requirements**:

- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Occasional travel, including overnight travel across North America, including deployment to disaster response operations.
- Must be comfortable working in austere conditions when required.
- Fluency in Canada's Official Languages an asset.
