The Coordinator, Materials is responsible to coordinate, facilitate and manage materials that are to be used to support operations. Provide assistance to sites during mobilization and demobilization activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost saving/cost avoidance.
- Ensure inventory availability for stock items at all times.
- Execute inventory management strategies.
- Manage replenishment process.
- Measure inventory performance.
- Ensure processes to manage obsolete materials are followed.
- Manage the reverse logistic of material for credit to suppliers from site demobilization.
- Interface with user groups to ensure effective inventory support.
- Support annual audit requirements.
- Input and Maintain data for inventory items in the inventory management system.
- Input and Maintain data for Direct charge items.
- Liaise with operations personnel responsible for inventory management to ensure effective and efficient buying of materials.
- Analyze periodically inventory usages. i.e. min / max levels, turn ratios, obsolescence, etc.
- Expedite purchase orders as required.

**Education**

Required: Diploma in Engineering, Mining, Finance or Business with additional certifications or enrolled in a program towards certification such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), CPSM, CPIM, CSCP etc.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, Finance or Business with additional certifications such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), CPSM, CPIM, CSCP etc.

**Work Experience**:
Required: 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain especially in inventory management within the mining industry is considered an asset; Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components - mining preferred

Preferred: 6 years of experience in the Supply Chain especially in inventory management within the mining industry is considered an asset; Knowledge and understanding of mechanical components - mining preferred
