ES1050 Studio instructors are expected to:

- Act as mentors for approximately 50 students formed into 10 teams working on several projects over the academic year
- This mentor role includes guiding teams through the design process and constructively assisting teams to address team, project management, personality conflict and time management issues that arise
- Lead students in interactive/experiential educational activities to build design, communication and teamwork capabilities
- Model professional behaviour, ethics and effective communication skills at all times
- Assist the course instructional team to develop some interactive instructional elements in support of course objectives
- Supervise and guide TA(s) in support of teaching and mentoring their students
- Review grading and feedback on student submitted work based on established rubrics in a timely fashion
- Attend and grade student design projects at a design showcase
- Collect Graduate Attribute Data for CEAB
- Proctor and grade course exams
- Attend regular ES1050 Instructor meetings

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

**Qualifications**:
In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
