Murchie’s Tea & Coffee requires a Baker for our downtown Government Street commercial kitchen. Since our first days of delivering tea by horse and buggy we have grown into a widely recognizable name in the tea and coffee industry. Founded in 1894, Murchie’s now operates eight retail locations, a commercial kitchen, an ecommerce website, as well as a wholesale division all supported by our Delta facility.

**Baker - Victoria**

The Baker will bake a wide variety of goods such as bread, croissants, pies, cakes and cookies etc., ensuring quality and consistency.

**Job Duties**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of foods
- Ensure quality of products meet established standards
- Follow approved recipes
- Ensure safe food handling procedures
- Keep workstation orderly and clean
- Assist in production planning for daily requirements
- Complete necessary production records
- Assist in stock control, order ingredients/notify of low inventory
- With the direction of the Kitchen manager, other duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**:

- Strong attention to detail
- Completed or currently enrolled in a baking program
- Organized, keeps workspace clean and food safe
- Completes tasks as assigned and assists other members as required
- Is reliable - shift starts at 5 am - must have reliable transportation
- Monday - Friday, 5am - 1:30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour
