This includes using techniques and strategies to communicate “I care and I respect you,” providing information in a way patients and families can understand, listening to patients and families to learn what an exemplary healthcare experience means to them, and seeking their perspective throughout their stay and during improvement initiatives. **Qualifications**: - Successful completion of Grade 12 required - Graduate of Post-Secondary program preferred **Skill, Ability and Experience**: - Basic proficiency in the use of computers required - Ability to meet the physical demands of this job required - Knowledge of proper lifting techniques required - Recent experience working in a Healthcare environment preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology preferred **Principal Duties**: - Transports patients to treatment rooms using wheelchair, stretcher or ambulatory - May assist the Registered Technologist in transferring patients onto the Imaging table - Places out-patients in dressing cubicle to change for Imaging examinations - Cleans gastric preparation areas - Operates Typhoon cleaning system according to procedure - Attends to all linen supply requirements - Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives - Completes continuing education requirements as necessary - Other related duties as assigned Selection will be made on the basis of ability, experience and qualifications as per Article 11.04 of the SEIU Collective Agreement We thank you in advance for your interest in Bluewater Health, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
