Video Editor

_We are looking for a hardworking, passionate, and tech-savvy Video Editor and Ingest Technician to join our_ _awesome team_
- Position Type and Term: Full time_
- Position Location: King City, ON_
- We are looking for a professional, dedicated, hard worker who will:_
- Setup and operate the Video Judge Capture system;_
- Validate 500-900 entries captured at dance competitions using Validator;_
- Import, sort and upload photos to DanceBUG using Photo Manager;_
- Use VJ Uploader to convert and upload videos to DanceBUG;_
- Make minor adjustments to split and trim each entry as needed;_
- Using Video Judge Backup Edit, sync judge commentary and recover entries with audio issues;_
- Recover entries that were partially captured, not captured or captured with errors;_
- Import backup footage for archiving;_
- Set up and operate RecitalCapture;_
- QA captured content - check for issues, sync, technical errors and fix when possible;_
- Edit, colour correct and upload dance recitals using RecitalEdit;_
- Meet time-sensitive deadlines and work under pressure;_
- Editing of promotional video marketing, corporate videos and montage videos;_
- Troubleshooting and recovery of photo and video orders using Fulfillment;_
- Using custom backend software to manage events and tasks;_
- Working extra hours as needed, often on short notice: nights, weekends;_
- Training new staff;_
- Other duties as assigned._
- **Qualifications and Experience**:_
- Experience using Validator;_
- University or College degree in a related field;_
- Familiar with the world of dance and dance media;_
- Excellent knowledge of post-production workflows - video/audio/photo formats, file conversions, video codecs, bitrates, compression settings;_
- Experience with data management in a production workflow; _
- Must be organized, meticulous and detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills;_
- Excellent ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;_
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team;_
- Able to lift up to 50lbs;_
- Must be extremely versatile using Windows, command line syntax, batch programming, FTP; TeamViewer;_
- Experience using the following equipment is a huge asset:_
- Lexicon IO42 & IO82 (One is the 4 channel, the other is 8 channel)_
- Vixia G40 & XA15;_
- Avermedia LGX2;_
- Presonus - 1810c;_
- Tascam DR70D;_
- Zoom H6 & F8;_

Pay: $30.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
