**Job Summary**:
The **Team Lead** is directly responsible for the execution and success of our public events, accommodating between 200 and 300 guests on board. The role involves leading and managing staff during events to ensure smooth service, effective teamwork, and high-quality event execution. The role requires someone who is a proactive problem-solver, thrives working in a fast paced environment, detail-oriented, can think on their feet and is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service. You will supervise a team of servers, bartenders, and hosts, ensuring the successful delivery of events, while maintaining quality control, safety, and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Staff Supervision & Leadership**:
- Lead and direct event staff (servers, bartenders, hosts) to maintain high standards of service.
- Assign tasks based on event requirements and individual staff skills.
- Provide training and ongoing mentorship to both new and existing team members.
- Motivate staff to maintain energy and enthusiasm during events.
- Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
- ** Event Operations**:
- Ensure events are set up and broken down according to event specifications.
- Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment throughout the event.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any event-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen, crew, and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
- ** Guest Service**:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Address any guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Monitor event progress and client satisfaction throughout the event.
- ** Logistical Coordination**:
- Ensure all necessary event materials (e.g., linens, decorations, coffee, dish pans, etc.) are prepared and readily available.
- Track inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies for service.
- Communicate with kitchen, bar, and other departments to meet event needs and expectations.
- ** Administrative Duties**:
- Assist with shift scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels for events.
- Report on event operations, issues, and any guest concerns to the Manager.
- Complete daily shift reports, documenting inventory usage, guest feedback, and any relevant details.
- Ensure cash handling processes are followed, completing cashouts and balancing tills.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in hospitality, banquet service, or event management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food and beverage service.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
