**The Role**
As a key member of our team the Dining Room Host is responsible for warmly greeting and directing guests as they arrive at the Restaurant. As the first point of contact, the Host is responsible for making a lasting impression with our guests, and ensuring that they are greeted, checked in, and provided wait time information to the highest standard.
**Your contributions to the team include**:

- Warmly welcome and seat guests upon arrival.
- Provide menus and announce server’s name.
- Manage reservations, wait times, and waiting lists accurately.
- Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas and assist with extra attention needs.
- Maintain a clean reception area and ensure adherence to OH&S standards.
- Monitor table distribution and coordinate seating options with servers.
- Answer incoming calls and address guest queries.
- Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned.

**A few things we are looking for in a new team member**:

- Previous experience as a Host is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areas.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Working knowledge of Silverware POS System an asset.
