**Emergency Shelter Hospitality Worker - Part-Time Weekends**

**Schedule**: Part-time, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

**About Us**:
Rowan House Society provides safe shelter and support for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and abuse in the Foothills area. We are dedicated to empowering our clients and fostering a community free from violence.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **part-time weekend** Hospitality Worker to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our Emergency Shelter on **Saturdays and Sundays**. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-supplied environment for our clients during weekend hours. Your responsibilities will include housekeeping, meal preparation, inventory assistance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of all shelter areas.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is available for clients.
- Help maintain organized donation areas and ensure proper disposal of unusable items.
- Conduct room checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Adhere to all Rowan House Society policies and procedures, including client confidentiality and safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with weekday staff and provide seamless handover.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (housekeeping experience preferred).
- Good understanding of cleaning and sanitizing practices.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clear abstract and reliable transportation is an asset.

**Certificates Required (Conditions of Employment)**:

- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Intervention Check
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be mobile for extended periods.

**Job Type**: Part-time
