***in Canada. This would either be a hybrid or fully remote position depending on your location.
** **The Wellness Coach will be assigned a caseload of clients in various coaching programs to support as they move towards improved professional and personal wellbeing. The coach will be responsible for establishing and conducting effective scheduled coaching sessions. They will support a client centered coaching model which establishes a coaching agreement and offers professional coaching support aligned with coaching competencies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Establish and maintain relationships with coaching clients. Follow-up with clients per departmental standards to ensure client engagement. Tracking all follow-up notes and appointments in the coaching case management database.
- Successful implementation of motivational interviewing-based coaching model.
- Provide wellness and life telephonic and video coaching sessions.
- Deliver telephonic mindfulness program.
- Provide tobacco cessation coaching and collaborates with coaching clients to design tobacco quit plan including nicotine replacement therapy recommendation.
- Collaborate and support department needs including intake and scheduling conversations.
**Skills**:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills in both English and Canadian French, with a focus on telephonic and/or video experience.
- Skilled in reflective listening and motivational interviewing.
- Excellent organizational, time management, customer service and analytic skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining a high level of quality, productivity, and focus.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and quick adapter to new technology.
- Empathetic, respectful and inclusive of all individuals.
**Required Education**:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Completed a NBCHWC and/ or ICF approved coach training program.
- Preference given to applicants who are currently National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) or those that possess a certification through the International Coach Federation. (ACC, PCC, MCC) Certified coaching credential must be active within 1 year of employment.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Minimum 1 year experience in coaching, behaviour health or wellness field.
- Knowledge of lifestyle and disease related topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress and resiliency, mindfulness, and chronic conditions.
- Will work a set shift to support scheduled coaching sessions.
