**Position Summary**:
The Supply Chain Supervisor operates on-site and reports to the Integrated Manager - Supply Chain Logistics. The Logistics Supervisor focuses on overseeing daily operations within the logistics department, ensuring efficient and effective distribution of healthcare supplies and equipment. This role will work closely with the team in overseeing the day-to-day operations in a unionized environment, and will establish and maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, inventory management control practices, and will ensure regular audits in all areas as applicable to ensure this compliance.

This role includes oversight of the St. Mary’s campus as well as other applicable off site locations. The role will supervise the entirety of the logistics functions for all applicable sites, ensuring service and operational goals are met. while committing to building robust customer relationships.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for key functions including managing inventory including but not limited to the distribution and delivery, overseeing systems, maintaining hospital supply rooms, handling stock requisitions, coordinating shipping and receiving, and leading the logistics team, which encompasses performance management and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

Additionally, the Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between internal customers working closely with departments such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Finance, and our external partners.

**Responsibilities at a Glance**:

- Supervise logistics staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Directly supervises logistics staff and day-to-day activities and pivots based on the changing needs
- Leads team status meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment on objectives.
- Oversee escalations and follow-up on critical backorders.
- Oversees the hospital mailroom operations.
- Coordinates the cycle counting processes to optimize inventory management.
- Assists year-end inventory processes in collaboration with Manager, Finance and other supply chain personnel as required.
- Ensure annual reviews of core metrics, including supply room audits, expired inventory controls, etc.
- Collaborates with the Supply Chain Team to manage and adjust stock levels based on consumption trends, to ensure efficient inventory management approaches.
- Implement proper inventory processes, including routine date checks, product removals, recalls, and disposal procedures.
- Manage optimal warehouse operations, encompassing receiving docks, storerooms, shipping areas, and mailroom activities related to inventory operations.
- Assists with emergency management planning and response, including command center operations.
- Supports inventory reporting for routine and emergency operations data requests.
- Aids in the development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing maintenance of quality improvement initiatives aligned with SMGH standards to ensure continuous process enhancement.
