Apprentice Service Technician

Orangeville, Canada ACU-TEC Inspection & Service Ltd. Full time

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Complete work assignments as directed through assignment of work orders; ensure work completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Perform inspection on various types of lifting and safety equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance work on lifting equipment, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Prepare inspection and service reports with care and attention.

**Work Environment Considerations**:

- Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, material, temperatures and weather extremes that require the use of specialized protective devices or equipment.
- Required to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods of time continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Normal hours of work are days, Monday to Friday, with extended hours as required to meet project deadlines or resulting from periods of peak workload.
- Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

**Required license or certification**:

- Drivers Licence - Driver’s record

**Required education**:

- High school or equivalent

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
