**Why is this role important**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Merchant to join our Super Market Merchandising team. This entry-level role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of retail, working closely with experienced merchants to drive sales and curate a compelling product assortment for our customers.
**What you'll do**:
- ** Support Category Analysis**: Assist in analyzing category performance, identifying trends, and researching competitor activity.
- ** Financial Tracking & Analysis**: Manage the financial activity of the category including managing vendor income billings, conducting analysis, and collaborating with Merchant(s), vendor(s) and finance team to investigate and resolve income inquiries.
- ** Manage & resolve store inquires**:
- ** Product Assortment Maintenance**: Assist with product onboarding, sample management, planogram submissions, and maintaining accurate product information.
- ** Pricing & Promotion Execution**: Support the execution of pricing and promotional strategies, ensuring accuracy and timely implementation, including data-entry, data-integrity management, flyer/digital/instore advertising accuracy, vendor income collection, inventory management, store communications and retail pricing.
- ** Vendor Collaboration**: Assist with communication and coordination with vendors, including order tracking and issue resolution.
- ** Reporting & Analysis**: Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and other key metrics, identifying opportunities and risks.
**What you bring**:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Strong interest in retail and a passion for merchandising
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaborator and team player
