Whitewater Internet is looking for an individual to join our team We are looking for a Technical Support Representative/Installation Technician. If you do not meet the requirements below but have a good attitude and willingness to learn, please feel free to apply.

Job Requirements:

- 1-3 years of experience in the field preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Comfortable working with power tools, ladders, pulling cable and terminating cat5 cables (provided)
- Comfortable working at heights of up to 125ft with associated fall protection gear (provided)
- Ability to complete any necessary training, at company expense
- Ability to work both in a team and independently, with mínimal oversight
- Maintaining equipment and tools
- Willingness to regularly travel up to 50 km from Beachburg, ON, at company expense
- Willingness to work outside of regular business hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required (generally infrequently)
- Willingness to be on-call as required
- Other duties as required

Employee Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in IT or related field preferred
- Knowledgeable of wireless internet, routers, access points, switches and 12/24v battery backup systems preferred
- Customer service experience in a technical role preferred
- Experience with basic network troubleshooting preferred
- Experience working for an internet service provider preferred
- Personable, reliable, efficient, with a good work ethic
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills (English mandatory, French an asset)
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and installation guidelines
- Ability to identify and select appropriate equipment and hardware for site specific installations
- Working at heights certification an asset
- Experience with fall arrest gear an asset
- Boom lift certification an asset
- Tower rescuer certification an asset

Salary $18-25 per hour, based on experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
