Bakery Clerk

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our bakery operates smoothly and efficiently. You will assist in the preparation of baked goods, maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery, and provide excellent customer service to our valued patrons. **Duties**
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about products.
- Making sandwiches and drinks
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all products meet health standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
- Assist with packaging and displaying products attractively for customers.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food service or bakery industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn new techniques is a plus.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
