Northern Gold Foods is a well established, leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack food products. With roots dating back to 1978, Northern Gold Foods now has production facilities located in British Columbia, Ontario and Oregon.

We our currently seeking a full time **Sanitation Technician Lead **to join our team Welland.

In this role, you will directly manage our sanitation and inventory, ensuring that employees adhere to our SSOP as well as local and federal regulations. This role is essential to the health and success of our business, and you should take pride in the fact that the items we produce uphold the highest quality standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- General supervision of daily sanitation activities. Troubleshooting processes, offering advice and assistance when required.
- Reports to FS & QA manager any daily quality problems or nonconformities. Directly interacts with line supervisors and QC technicians to ensure daily sanitation issues are effectively resolved and managed.
- Responsible for the safety of all team members including handling of chemicals, lock out/tag out and safe work procedures.
- Verification of sanitation records, pre-op inspections, and any other relevant quality documentation requiring verification. Following up and retraining for incorrectly completed documentation. Managing the filing and retention of these documents daily.
- Inventory management of supplies: laboratory, GMP, janitorial, general plant, sanitation, chemicals etc. Maintain a current list of suppliers
- Manage all aspects of pest control program, including documentation, weekly inspections, auditing etc.
- Manage all aspects of sanitation program, including Chemical Control, Master Cleaning Schedule, Procedures and Training.
- Training - GMP, Chemical, Sanitation.
- Participate in Internal Audit program and BRC audit.
- HACCP Team Member

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Experience in a food production environment
- Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of HACCP
- Communication skills
- Basic computer skills
