**Kingdon Timber Mart **is a family run business serving Peterborough and Lakefield (Selwyn) township since 1927. Kingdon Timber Mart has 2 locations in Peterborough, and Lakefield, we expanded our Lakefield store and are offering more to serve our clientele giving them a one stop shop for building and home improvement supplies and equipment. We are seeking an energetic, personable self-starter to join our team.

**Paint Sales Associate**

Paint Sales Associate is reponsible for working with customers, answering telephone inquiries, general housekeeping in their respective department, maintaining products and merchandising displays in their department.

**JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- write up customer special orders in compliance with store policies and procedures
- maintain product price point and identify tickets on shelf displays and hooks
- become familiar with all products sold
- mixing paint - tint paint for customers
- colour matching scanning system
- cutting keys
- key lock sets
- keep merchandise displays fresh and attractive in appearance
- stocking shelves after products have been properly received
- answering phones and directing the call to the appropriate team member
- attend all training courses as requested by management in relation to store procedures, safety, products, etc.
- be fully knowledgable about company policies and procedures
- ensure that products on sale or promotion are properly identified and tagged
- be friendly, courteous and helpful to all customers and staff
- be prepared to work in other departments as required
- assume other duties and responsibilities as requested by the store manager

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Good visual acuity
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack
- Close vision for computer work
- Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
- Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively and professionally with all audiences (in-person or via handheld transceiver)

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
