Applied Industrial Technologies LP is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of of **Steel Fabricator / Hydraulic Assembler**in our **Saskatoon, SK**shop.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Set up components for welding/fabrication as per standard specifications.
- Weld different metals and alloys in various positions (carbon and stainless steel).
- Weld/fabricate a variety of equipment and components for hydraulic power units.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or procedures based on individual job requirements.
- Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
- Operate power tools and general welding equipment - grinders, gouging and cutting equipment.
- Assemble hydraulic components as required - millwright experience an asset.
- Paint - spray painting of completed units.
- Maintenance and use of equipment that does not compromise safety.
- Quality - Testing and inspection of welds and hydraulic testing of completed units.
- Participate and comply with all required Health & Safety Programs and training.
- Work safely, lead by example and contribute to Applied’s corporately sponsored safety program.
- Communicate appropriately, confidently and professionally to colleagues and management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- 3-5 years of experience within an industrial setting is required.
- Welding certification or Fabrication certification is required, indentured apprentices’ will be considered.
- Millwright experience is considered an asset.
- Painting with spray system experience an asset.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude, experience or certification in other trades an asset.
- Self motivated, organized and able to work independently.
- Able to work in a team environment and utilize all available resources.
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
- Desire to succeed and grow within the organization.
- Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
