Purchasing and Receiving

**Compensation Information**:
$20.60 per hour

**Physical Requirement**:
Heavy, work activities involve handling loads of more than 20 kg; Predominately in an Outdoor Setting.

**Accountabilities**:

- Purchasing of goods & services in response to appropriate requisitions from authorized personnel
- Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers and prepare purchase orders
- Arrange for deliveries in the most economical way
- Receive goods as necessary
- Contact suppliers to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems.
- Ensure documentation of received goods is complete
- Keep the warehouse neat, tidy, and organized
- Keep the purchasing vehicle neat, tidy and in good working condition by liaising with the Vehicle Maintenance department to ensure regular vehicle maintenance as necessary
- Valid BC Driver’s license.
- Some experience with Microsoft software (Excel and Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision.
