Fort McMurray, Canada Aluma Systems Full time

AlumaSafway is currently recruiting for **Industrial Sand Blasters **for our Fort McMurray area sites.

Shift: 12-hour days
- 2-3 week long shutdown
- Camp accommodations provided
- Travel Allowance available based on location

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Abrasive blasting of surfaces of structural steel, vessels/tanks, pipes, external or internal to clients specification.
- Inspect and operate equipment in a safe manner as per equipment operating manual and AlumaSafway’s operating procedures.
- Operate compressor and sandblast equipment.
- Must be able to lift 25kg.
- Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Maintain safe working conditions and comply with client and AlumaSafway’s safety standards and practices.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Journeyman Sandblasters;
- Abrasive blasting experience is preferred;
- Experience running a plural component pump is considered an asset;
- Requires excellent oral and written skills;
- Requires strong organization and time management skills;
- Requires close attention to detail;
**SAFETY COURSES REQUIRED**:

- OSSA Regional/OSSA BSO/Energy Safety Canada CSO
- Fall Protection (Energy Safety Canada or ACTI)
- Confined Space (OSSA, Energy Safety Canada, or ACTI)
- JLG
- WHMIS 2015

**This is a unionized position.**

**Salary**: $21.00-$43.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fort McMurray, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Sandblasting: 2 years (preferred)
