**The opportunity**

As a part of the PAQ team, you will be joining a group of individuals who are committed to helping change the lives of Indigenous men and women in Montreal. Working closely with community members to meet their long-term goals, you will have the opportunity to see the life changing benefits of your work on a daily basis. Working with dedication to PAQ’s mission, you will have access to the support of team members as well as training in the areas of intervention, suicide prevention, trauma informed approaches, First Aid and Indigenous cultural knowledge.

This person will work at PAQ's Managed Alcohol Program. A house with supportive-housing for 8 people from the indigenous community that are experiencing homelessness and severe alcohol dependencies in Montreal. This program serves to reduce the acute, chronic, and social harms associated with alcohol addiction.

**Shifts**:
We are currently looking for people to fill the following shifts:

- Monday: 8 am - 4 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 11 am - 7 pm
- Saturday overnight: 12 am - 8 am

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides support and intervention tailored to the needs of participants.
- Facilitates and fosters group life and the feeling of community with participants.
- Maintains the stability, security and cleanliness of the premises and ensures compliance with MAP protocols.
- Serves meals and ensures the proper functioning of the community room.
- Intervenes in crisis or emergency situations and responds to the needs of residents according to PAQ procedures and services.
- Completes relevant documents, statistics and reports.
- Performs any other task assigned by the Coordinator or the Team Leader, if necessary.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a frontline role
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to reconciliation with Canada’s Indigenous peoples.
- Minimum 1 year in harm reduction services (alcohol or other drugs) (an asset).
- Experience working in the fields of addictions and/or mental health is a significant asset.
- Experience living or working with Indigenous communities or people.
- Bilingualism (functional spoken French and English); an Indigenous languages an asset
- Ability to work in a team

**Compensation**:
$21.80/hour for day shifts

$23.80/hour for overnight shifts (12 am to 8 am)
